What I Learned about our game presentations

Three things that I learned from our game presentations were that our game come good, that we only one mistake, and that everybody liked our game. Partner Evaulation

My partner and myself has done a lot of work on the game. We have a boy and a girl scene and three different games in our game. Breezy has done a lot of work on the game and she has learned a lot of actionscripts this year. Me (Angel) have fix all kinds of buttons the Breezy has made and I know a lot of actionscript but not all of them. I think that if I had to give Breezy and myself a grade I think that I would give Breezy a ........ 95%. I think that if I had to give myself a grade I think that I would give myself a 90-95%.

Using Time Wisely

Well,,, hopefully we can use our time wisely. Our game is due in little over 2 months. I think that we can get it done in time and have everything done the way it is supposed to be. I think that we can get all of our buttons working and hittests working before the due date. We have been slacking off lately and I think that we can get it done. Our Obstacles!!!!!

There were some obstacles that Breanna and I(Ak09) have faced. These obstacles have made our game better because we have asked each other questions and then we decide to do something totally different. We have worked through these obstacles because we can get along really good and when we don't agree on something we try to work it our.
We have worked together on a lot of stuff and we try to work it out the best we can and if we can't decide on what to do then we ask our teacher (Mr. Addair) to help us and if he can't help us then we go to Globaloria Central.
We haved worked together to overcome alot of problems. We have talked to each other about what we have to do and when we can't agree on something, we talk it out until we come up with something that we can use that we both agree on.
Some frustations we have had is our hittest don't work and our buttons don't work and our drag and drop don't work to go to the right or wrong scene. On our main scene, we can't get our dart and balloon buttons working. Our girl button don't work and then she don't move.

These obstacles have taught me that we can work together as a team and that when we need help we can work together to get it right, and if we need something to work and if we can't do it ourselves then we can get other people to help us. Our future obstacles we know that we can help each other.

So hopefully we can get our game going right and it is done, when it is supposed to be done.

My next goals for next Friday is kinda going pretty good and our buttons are still not working on our main scene. I (Angel) have the drag and drop working but it does not go to the right or wrong scene. i think by the end of next week, I will be able to get it to work.

Our game is going pretty well. Three things that are good about our game is we have level 1 done and we are working on level 2. We have pretty graphics and you can read our text. One thing that we are still working on is the drag and drop to work to go to the next level when you get all the objects right. We are going to add more graphics like more movement and more actions. Our game is going good but we need to get our dart button to work and we are working on level 2. Well,, it has been a little while since we had our game demos. There are some things that we have changed and some things that are staying the same. We had changed the background on our game and changed some of the hit tests. We have done really good in our game, we are partially done with level 1 and Breanna is working on level 2. What are my challenges so far in this class? Well,,, I have had a lot of challenges this year like,, getting the actionscript right for the rabbit to move and working on the buttons for our game. Another things is that I have to get my progect page in order and getting everything on time and get it all right. I also have a challenge is getting our game demo good enough to make sure that everybody likes it. I have ONE more challenge is to get our FINAL GAME is done before the dead line. I plan to use sound in my game because we have a carnival game and we plan to put carnival music in our game to make it like you are right there in the game.

We have done a lot of stuff this year and the thing that I like the most is Flash. In flash you can make games, chose colors for your wiki page. I love flash cause you can do a whole lot of stuff on it. I like flash because it is cool. What I don't like about flash is that it has a lot of codes that you have to have!!!!! I have accomplished so far in Globaloria so is mini game project, making the bunny move started on my game. I have succeeded in making the bunny move and started on my game and I made my dart move and made the dart boards buttons. I would like to learn how to make a score board work right and to make a game that people would like play and to make a game that is fuctional. We are taking carnival theme and making the chance game out of it!!!! We used carnival theme because you use chances to make a aim for darts and balloons and milk bottles. We played "Animal Rescue" and Amazing Math!!!!!! They hove influenced our game because we are doing math and a lot of the games are math so we kind of got some ideas.

We are in the STEM category this year. Our topic is game of chance. We have decided to do carnival theme. Our genre is going to be adventure. Our game is going to have milk bottles, darts, and popping the balloons. We are going to ask the students questions of chance and they have to guess what it is. When they answer it right then they win the round. After that, they will have about 2-3 more rounds. After they win those rounds then they win the game. We hope to start our game soon. What is Hard and What is Not?????

The function concept that is the hardest to teach in my game is Secretary of War. I think it is diffulcult to teach because it is the civilian head of the U.S. War Department which is responsible to the President for the organization, maintenance, equipment, and operations of the U.S. Army. My game teaches this concept to upper elementary and lower middle school because the children probably don't know this concept. I think that the kids need to learn this concept so if they go to collage and they want to be teacher then they will know about the Secretary of War. Well...........the way I feel is that if I don't think that something is right, then I have to use resources to help me find out if it is true or not.It is really hard to tell if something is true or not!!!!!!!!! The game I have chosen to blog about is Supreme Basketball. The creators is Heather and Cassie. Their team page name is Tigers. They are from SRMS school I chosen the game because I thought that it could teach about the rights to have a freedom of expression. Well,,,,,,,a couple of weeks ago we had our game presentations and I think that Amber and I (Angel) did a good job on the presentations. I learned that we could change our name and make the game a little more interesting.We are going to change the name. It helped me learn that I could make the game more fun and that the game should be made to be about a person from another country that wants to have a war and he comes to the president of the U.S.A. to see if he wants to have a war. We narrowed the topic by making the name The Tresurey than The Messenger. Me and Amber are focusing on the Branches of Government. Our name is going to be The Tresurey. We have also been working on fixing the scenes and putting them together. So after been very nervous I really think that the presentations went good!!!!!!!!!!!!

My New Year's resolution in Globaloria Class is to get my game done before the due date!!!!!!!!

I would like to have 2-3 levels on my game and make the game very colorful.Our game presentation is due next week and we have to make a power point of our game.My partner (Amber) is doing level one and I (Angel) am doing level two. I am halfway through making level two.

My other New Year's resolution in Globaloria Class is to try to win the game and to keep an A average in this class. Even though Amber and I have faced difficulties in flash we have asked each other for help and if we can't help each other than we ask Mrs.Barker for help!!!!!

What have I done this week??? What Have I done This Week In Adding Navagation?

What have I learned in flash is that it is very easy to trace a picture using the tools.What was very easy was drawing the created by scene.And what was very hard for me was making the play buttons work using the actions key.After I tried to work with the actions key by myself and I couldn't figure it out I asked Mrs. Barker to show me and help me.What questions I have about this unit is will I be able to learn the actions key and do it by myself,so I don't have to ask Mrs. Barker all the time.I still need more time to work on adding navigation but not a lot of time just enough time to get my buttons working!!!!!!!!! I have an issue that I think should be thought a lot about.My issue is the Swine Flu.I think that people should really take this disease seriously because it is very dangerous.People can die from Swine Flu.Swine Flu is not rare.It is very common for a person to have the Swine Flu. If you get it,it is very hard to get rid of it. You have to take shots and medicine and you can't really do any work.You really have to stay in bed and rest because you can spread the disease. So if you feel like you are sick stay at home because you can give the disease to another person.

Abby Taylor visited us on 10-19-09 .Amber and I (Angel) told her about our game and she gave us a great idea.She told us that we needed to change our topic because the president can't give orders to the branches. So we came up with a different idea.

So her idea is that the president has to give his partner a message.And we have to make the character talk it to the right person.Because the president can't tell the branches what to do, we have to change our game.Not all of it just some of it.So our game is going to be a little bit different.

I think that kids have the right to wear what they want to as long as they follow the dress code.I think that nobody can tell you what to wear because it is your choice.My opinion is that is someone comes up to you and tells you that they hate your shirt then just tell them that it is my way of dressing not yours.I also think that if you wear a shirt to school it should not have any cursing on it. SO LETS KEEP OUR DRESS CODE APPROPRIATE ON SCHOOL GROUND!

My game idea is very simple.The genre is Life Simulation.Here is what is going to be in it:

A character who goes around in the White House and delivers messages

The background is in the White House

The president

Doors that you have to pick the right one

Points
Three levels
A bonus level
By the end of the game you will know every part of our White House
You have fourty-five seconds to get where you need to go

So when I(Angel)and Amber have our game finished and you can play it I hope it is very interseting,fun and exciting.

I have learned how to play with adobe flash and how to edit my page.I have also learnt how to play the playing to learn topic. Internet is safe but you have to use it correctly. The internet is a good thing to use to but we can't goof off on it. It is important that we use it in school use when we are in school and we're not on myspace or yahoo.The internet is safe, but we get on websites that we are not suppose to be on school property. One imporant fact to remember is not to give out your personal imformation. Another fact is to not talk to strangers on the internet. So remember the internet is very safe, so let's KEEP it safe!

Do we really have freedom and rights?Do we have responsibility with our rights?

We have a lot of freedom and we don't even think about.We also have responsibility with our rights too.For example,if we rob a bank and we get caught then we get put in jail and that shows that we do not care about what we do.

The fourth amendment states that the police or anybody else has to have a right to search you or your house.

Suppose you want to talk with the principle about the dress code.If you had thoughts that you want to wear spaghetti straps,skirts and flip flops and you gave a speech to the principle that you want that dress code and he/she says yes then you have a responsibility to keep that code and not break it.
So we do have rights,freedom and responsibility.
